About Intel, now without the support of Nokia, has released the Linux-based mobile platform MeeGo, designed for use on various mobile devices with Intel Atom processors and ARMv7.

The base system MeeGo 1.2 Core provides a complete set of technologies available for mobile computers.

System requirements:

Processor: Intel Atom or Intel Core 2 CPU (needs support SSSE3)
Warning: MeeGo will not work without SSSE3 processor
Not Supported Platforms: GMA-500, Nvidia, or ATI graphics chipsets are not supported.

Among the most notable innovations:

QML Application Framework, and advanced Qt-Mobility API, including advanced navigation, system, the connected and the sensor / tactile features for rapid application development;

Advanced telephony and other communication tools, including:
- Support networks of GSM, GPRS and HSPA ;
- Tool support SIM-cards (SIM Application Toolkit);
- Extended Profiles Bluetooth;
- Advanced methods for wireless and VPN authentication;
- Tetering (Tethering, using a mobile phone as an access point other devices to the network services of data transmission cellular operator) via USB, WiFi and BT-PAN;
- Enhanced support for multimedia, including RTSP-flows with progressive loading.

Installation:

1. Download image.
2. Upload the image to your device or PC.
3. Required: Copy img file on a USB device or burn it to CD / DVD.
