Windows 8 refers to the next version of Microsoft Windows after Windows 7. This version has not yet been confirmed by Microsoft and cannot be taken as complete fact.

Scheduled f release around 2012 Microsoft has not fmally confirmed the existence of Windows 8 n its name features. However many leaked internal documents and comments from insiders confirm that Microsoft is creating Windows 8 even if the name might change by release LeaksA roadmap timeline slide shown by Microsoft at the 2009 Professional Developers Conference shows that a product code named "Windows 8" is scheduled to be released sometime around 2012. Development and other aspects of Windows 8 have not been detailed in public although job listings have mentioned improved functionality f file access in branch offices.
A recently-departed Microsoft employee's blog has revealed a rough version of Microsoft's roadmap f key software including Windows 8. Accding to the infmation Microsoft aims f Windows 8 suppt to start on July 1 2011. Suppt f Windows Server 2012 starts on July 2 2012.
A Microsoft KB article confirmed that Windows 8 is the next version of Windows but the article has since been changed to remove references to Windows 8.
