Sinopsis
Patience Philips (Halle Berry) es una mujer sumisa y siempre dispuesta a agradar a la gente, que trabaja como
diseñadora gráfica para el gigantesco laboratorio de cosméticos Hedare Beauty, dirigido por el despótico
George Hedare (Lambert Wilson) y su esposa, la supermodelo Laurel (Sharon Stone). La tímida Patience
se entera por casualidad de un siniestro secreto sobre un revolucionario producto antienvejecimiento
de la compañía que pronto va a salir a la venta y se ve envuelta en una conspiración. Justo
entonces es salvada de la muerte al renacer con la fuerza, la velocidad, la agilidad y los
agudísimos sentidos de un gato. En su nueva vida de venganzas como Catwoman
la guiará una misteriosa mujer llamada Ophelia Powers (Frances Conroy).
Sus aventuras comienzan cuando empieza a arreglar algunas cuentas
pasadas, pero su doble vida se ve enseguida complicada por su
relación con el apuesto detective Tom Lone (Benjamin Bratt).
Lone se está enamorando de Patience, pero al mismo
tiempo le fascina Catwoman, aunque parezca
ser la responsable de los crímenes
de la ciudad.
